Healthy Hands are the key to Community Health

More Protection with Total Sanitizer. Here for Those Who Need it Most.

Your Family, Your Home

If there is one place on earth where you should feel the most protected, it’s with your family, in your home.  But even with a regular and detailed home cleaning schedule, germs live on.

With parents in and out every day for work, kids in an out of school and grandma hanging out with her social clubs- it’s almost impossible to know who and how many people each member of your household have come in contact with on any given day.   So, how do you protect your home from invisible threats?

Hand hygiene is the best way to ensure that you’re doing your protecting yourself and preventing cross contamination of surfaces and spaces that you share with those you love the most.  Our sanitizer is safe, non toxic and alcohol free.  Perfect for the entire family.

Your School Community

Schools are one of the most susceptible environments for harboring and rapidly spreading harmful viruses- making school staff and children one of the country’s most vulnerable populations.  Millions of instructional days are lost annually across the country with common illnesses, like the flu, being a major contributor.

Schools provide the ideal environment for harmful bacteria; close and heavily populated environments with lightly enforced hand hygiene practices and frequent “hand to hand” or “hand to surface” interactions.

Appropriate on the go hand hygiene practices (in lieu of access to soap & warm water) like hand sanitization can result in the reduction of the spread of infection and the resulting lost days of school.  See here.

Total Sanitizer’s proprietary formula delivers up to 3 hours of residual protection after one application to the hands. Unlike traditional gel-based sanitizers, our sanitizer doesn’t contain agents that dry and irritate the skin and eyes.  Our products are also alcohol free and non toxic, making is safe for children to use without the risk of alcohol poisoning.

Your Local Gym

Bacteria thrive in moist, warm environments.  Multiple studies have found that your local gym’s typical fitness equipment probably has a variety of present and active bacteria – Staph and it’s methicillin-resistant variant MRSA (which is resistent to antibiotics and is estimated to result in 11,000 deaths per year in the U.S.) being the most frequently found.

In a 2019 study of 16, Northeast Ohio gyms collected just under 300 samples in these gymes and 38% contained Staph- the S. aureus strain of bacteria.  The most prevalent places Staph was found- medicine balls, cross fit boxex , weight plates and treadmills handles.

Total Sanitizer’s sanitizer and soap formula has been tested to kill 99.999% of common illness causing germs including norovirus, Staph /MRSA and  E. Coli in under 20 seconds.

Other Common Touch Points

Paper Money

87% of $1 bills tested show contamination. Out of the 87%- 94% of those tested positive for MRSA, Fecal Matter and other infection causing bacteria.

Fuel Pumps

A routine task that exposes individuals to a wide cross section of harmful and potentially illness causing germs.

Buttons & Handles

Door knobs, elevator buttons, remote controls and other common touch points are rife with dangerous, easily trasmitable bacteria.

Handbags & Cell Phones

Hand bags & Cell phones are prime carriers of harmful bacteria. Regularly used hand bags are 10x dirtier than an office toilet- with the handles and bottoms of purses being the most contaminated.

BZK and the Healthcare Industry

Benzalkonium Chloride (BZK) is an alcohol-free antimicrobial compound that’s been widely tested and used in the healthcare industry for over 60 years for preservatives, surface cleaners, sterilizing agents, and leave-on, FDA Monograph anti-bacterial skin treatment products. The chemical properties of BZK make it a good candidate for persistent antimicrobial activity on human tissue.

The American Journal of Infection Control performed an evaluation on  the effectiveness of different sanitizers (BZK vs. 70% ethanol alcohol) in  reducing transient skin contamination with Staphylococcus aureus in health care workers.  The conclusion: “The results showed a significant reduction in total bacterial colony counts of S aureus during the week of BZK use as compared with the week of 70% ethanol sanitizer use.”
